Welcome back!
I’ve been keeping up with the comments that have left on numerous forums & blogs about the Arts District and Park West. While the area has been changing rapidly, I do not deem this area “safe” or “desirable”. Although some bloggers discount the “undesirables” as simply “shady characters that all large cities possess”, the reality is most people do not want to live in such close proximity to this element of society. In the center of Park West, on NE 2nd Ave and NE 7th Street, is Camillus House which serves the homeless of Miami. Today, in downtown Miami there is only one block separating luxury condominiums such as Marquis, Ten Museum Park, 900 Biscayne and Marina Blue from Camillus House. Until this facility is relocated to another part of the city, I don’t see how the desirability of this area will improve.
